The five elements in dogs

Metal

metalMetal is connected to the lungs and large intestine , the nose , coat and the skin.

The accompanying emotions:
Out of balance: introvert , grief
In balance: powerful and straightforward

The metal dog, balanced and fair.

This dog has a balanced character, he is calm and tolerant of his environment. It is at its best in an environment where clear rules apply.

The Metal Dog is reliable and hates conflict and disorder. When trained and treated fairly, he likes to work, makes rapid progress and will do an excellent job. The fact that he is moderately enthusiastic and often distant does not mean that he does not like to work. However, this is very dependent on the breed!

With its square, slim and strong build, it exudes calm and maturity. Since the Metal Dog has a tendency to shut itself down, it is important to keep in touch with him.

Make time to give unconditional attention to the dog on a daily basis, in the form of brushing, massage or touch exercises. If this dog is being treated unfairly or in a chaotic environment, he will make an effort to restore order. With too much misunderstanding, he retreats into his metal shell. Becomes stiff, depressed and no longer responds.

Owner

The Metal Dog works best with a disciplined, calm and honest owner.

It is a dog for a family, with all noses in one direction. Under normal circumstances, with children who love animals, he will feel comfortable and be a nice companion.

This dog feels best with a clear and consistent owner, the so-called no-nonsense type. It is important to approach this dog “canine” and not to humanize the behavior, because he does not understand anything about democracy: he is much happier with clear rules of life. Its strong, symmetrical build and compact muscles allow the owner to do a lot with the dog.

Occurs in the following breed groups:

  • Non-standing Gundogs, such as the Labrador Retriever
  • Schnauzers
  • Dogidae, such as the Hovawart
  • Mountain dogs
  • Swiss Mountain Dogs
